Which exam boards do you cover for IGCSE / GCSE Spanish?

We work with Edexcel IGCSE, Cambridge IGCSE, AQA GCSE and Edexcel GCSE Spanish. In the first call we confirm your child’s exam board and build their plan around the exact specification and paper structure they will sit.

Is this 1-to-1 tutoring or group classes?

For IGCSE & GCSE we focus on private 1-to-1 online lessons. This allows us to adapt the pace, topics and exam practice to your child only. If you have two siblings or a small group who want to study together, we can also discuss a small private group.

How do the online Spanish lessons work in practice?

Lessons are delivered live on Zoom or Google Meet. Your child sees the tutor, the screen and the exam materials in real time. We use past papers, speaking prompts, interactive slides and shared documents so they can write, speak and listen as if they were in a real classroom—but with personal attention and exam focus.

Who are the tutors?

Lessons are taught by specialist IGCSE / GCSE Spanish tutors with years of experience preparing teenagers for exam boards such as Edexcel and AQA. Tutors are fluent or native speakers, used to working with international students and familiar with common difficulties like speaking confidence and controlled writing tasks.

What ages and school years do you work with?

We usually work with students in Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 who are already following IGCSE or GCSE Spanish at school, plus private candidates. If your child is younger but wants to start early exam preparation, we can also advise you in the diagnostic call.

Can my child join in the middle of the school year?

Yes. Many families contact us mid-year or close to mock exams. We start with a diagnostic, identify urgent topics (for example, listening or writing), and then build a short intensive plan or a full exam-year plan depending on how much time is left before the exam.

What is your rescheduling / cancellation policy?

We understand that school life can be busy. Lessons can normally be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice, subject to availability. Late cancellations or no-shows are usually counted as a used lesson, as the tutor has reserved that time slot for your child.

Do you give homework between lessons?

Yes. Homework is short and targeted: for example one writing question, one listening or reading exercise, or a small vocabulary set. This keeps your child practising Spanish between lessons and allows the tutor to use lesson time for questions, corrections and speaking.

Do you prepare students only for exams, or also for general Spanish?

The main focus of this programme is exam success (grades), but we always work on real communication skills at the same time. Speaking tasks, listening practice and vocabulary are chosen to help both with the exam and with your child’s confidence using Spanish in real life.
